Puberty I: Understanding Changes

Puberty I: Understanding Changes is an engaging, SEL-integrated program that uses storytelling and age-appropriate scenarios to help students navigate the physical and emotional changes of puberty. Through relatable examples, students are introduced to the biological changes that occur during adolescence, including a foundational study of reproductive anatomy.

As the first class in our comprehensive Sex Education continuum, this program explores both common physical changes across genders—such as breast development, increased sweat and oil production, acne, voice changes, and body hair growth—and anatomy-specific developments like the menstrual cycle, nocturnal emissions, and spontaneous erections.

Delivered in a blended learning format, Puberty I includes interactive online pre- and post-program activities, offering students multiple opportunities to engage with and reinforce key concepts.

This class may be taught in gender specific groupings or a mixed gender setting. Please note that mixed gender classes will need an additional 30 minutes, 120 minutes in total.
